Chapter 1
Fig. 1-1. Meiotic is misspelled in the
text below the arrow pointing to the primary spermatocyte. A corrected
figure (Fig. 1-1)
is available at the author's (local) site.
Chapter 2
Fig. 2-9. In the 'Chromatin cloud around factory', some nucleosomes
are (incorrectly) displaced upwards from the underlying DNA, and some nucleosomes
are (incorrectly) shown as having right-handed supercoils. The first
correction has been applied to the Web pages found at Wiley,
and a figure containing both corrections (Fig. 2-09) can be found at the author's
site.
Chapter 3
Fig. 3-9. The double helix has both right- and left-handed regions;
it should be all right-handed. The Figure is correctly reproduced on the
web.
Chapter 4
Fig. 4-16D. This is correctly reproduced on page 180; however, in
the same Figure shown in full color (see inset between pages 112-113) the
bolt is incorrectly shown with a left-handed thread (it should be right handed).
The Figure is correctly reproduced on the web.
Chapter 7
Fig. 7-19A. The residues at postions 320 and 383 are mislabeled;
they should be labeled K320 and K383 (and not L320 and L383). A corrected figure (Fig. 7-19)
is available at the author's (local) site.
