Getting to Oxford
1. From Heathrow
The ‘Airline’ bus provides a frequent service (every 20 min at peak times, usually every 30 min) from the bus station at terminal 5 (stand 10) or the central bus station (between terminals 1,2 and 3; stand 14A) to Oxford. [A free rail transfer called 'Heathrow Connect' links terminal 4 with the central bus station.] The bus journey to Oxford takes ~80 min from terminal 5, and ~90 min from the central bus station. The Oxford bus station is in the centre of the town, 10 min by foot from the Dunn School or 5 min from Lincoln College (taxi in both cases ~£5.00). I do not recommend driving to and from Heathrow (there are sometimes queues on the motorway into and out of the airport and the bus drivers know how to get around these) or using the train (which involves a bus link between Heathrow and Reading station).
2. From Gatwick
The ‘Airline’ bus provides a frequent service (hourly at peak times) from the bus stations in the South terminal (lower forecourt, stands 1 & 2) and North terminal (Lower Forecourt Road, stands 4 & 5) to Oxford (some via Heathrow); Gatwick to Oxford takes just over 2 h. The service is not so good in the middle of the night, when it might be worth taking the bus to Heathrow, and then picking up one of the more frequent buses from there to Oxford (see above). The Oxford bus station is in the centre of the town - 10 min by foot from the Dunn School, or 5 min from Lincoln College (taxi in both cases ~£5.00). [Alternatively, there is fast train from Gatwick to London Victoria; then, take a tube to Paddington and a train to Oxford (below). But as from Heathrow, I always take the bus.]
3. From London
There is an hourly train service from Paddington to Oxford (timetables), and from Marylebone to Oxford (timetables). The train station in Oxford is ~20 min by foot from the Dunn School, or ~10 min from Lincoln College (taxi in both cases ~£10.00). Buses (15 min service at peak times; 1.5 - 2 h journey, depending on conditions; timetable – http://www.oxfordbus.co.uk and http://www.oxfordtube.com/) leave from London Victoria coach station and Marble Arch (one coach is confusingly called the Oxford Tube) and arrive at Oxford bus station, which is ~10 min by foot from the Dunn School or ~5 min from Lincoln College (taxi in both cases ~£7.00).

Telephone:
1. From outside Oxford. Dial 0/44 1865 275500 (Dunn School switchboard).
2. From inside the University telephone system (e.g., from Lincoln College). Dial 75500 (Dunn School switchboard).
