Introduction

Keith Gull's group is part of the Molecular Microbiology department of the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology. The lab works on several aspects of biology from both an evolutionary and health perspective, but the main focus of the work involves the protozoan parasite Trypanosoma brucei - the causative agent of human sleeping sickness. Among the current research interests of the lab are: the trypanosome cytoskeleton, flagellum and cell morphogenesis, the trypanosome genome structure and nuclear architecture, proteins and pathogenicity features of trypanosomes.
